I have been so excited to share my review with you on this product I bought a couple of weeks ago. Yves Saint Laurent's VOLUPTÉ SHEER CANDY - Glossy Balm Crystal Color in Cool Guava.
This product is horrendously expensive. I mean, $30 (available at Sephora and Nordstrom) for a lip balm is, to me, absolutely insanity. With that being said, I LOVE it! This was a seriously indulgent purchase but I am glad I made it. I feel absolutely rich when I wear it!
The packaging is what did it for me to be honest. It is just so luxurious and looks like a beautiful piece of art! I love seeing it in my purse and holding it in my hand and...I could go on and on but the packaging is very luux.
Now on to the actual product, it's great! I bought the "Cool Guava" color which is sort of a Barbie pink and is so pretty! Don't be fooled , however, because this is a "balm". At first when I apply the color it is hardly detectable but a few layers later and I have very hot pink lips so I have to make sure I don't apply too much.
The product did not dry out my lips which was nice and the color lasts all day. Also, the Cool Guava (not sure about the other colors) smells just like a juicy Guava or some sort of tropical fruit. It is so summery! The Grapefruit flavor might be next on my list!
