Hi ya'll!
I received the sample size of this mascara from Sephora for my birthday last month and was SO excited to try it because I love Benefit products. The sample itself is really nice quality and so I am very disappointed I didn't even like it.
I hate to be Ms. Negativity. Perhaps I didn't give it a fair chance because I only wore it once and I couldn't see past my number one problem to even assess the rest of the cons/pros the mascara had to offer.
I think I was allergic to it. My eyes are semi-sensitive to things but I have never had a reaction to a mascara like this. My eyes were all bloodshot and it felt like...well it felt like they were pissed off for lack of a better expression. I went to work that day and all I kept thinking was "I cannot wait to get this mascara off". I couldn't even focus my eyes were so itchy and irritated.
Perhaps another wear is in order to make sure I didn't have some weird temporary eye irritation that day but I'm afraid to knowingly put the mascara back on knowing what happened previously. I will say I was, for all the irritation and effort, not that impressed with the formula. Just one layer and my lashes were all gooped and stuck to one another. The more I tried to wiggle the wand to feather out my lashes the more spidery they got . I think someone with naturally long eyelashes who needs a light stroke of mascara (and non-sensitive eyes) would get the most benefit from the product.
I guess I will be sticking with my beloved Maybelline Falsies for now.

I tried this and I didn't think it was too bad but I still think Maybelline mascara's are best!

I think if I wasn't allergic to it, it may have stood a better chance and I do definitely think it would be nice for someone with long lashes who needs thickening.
DeleteYou're right though, Maybelline mascaras are great! I've had good luck with them and they're a nice price point!
